Oh my, I am videoing my process and lots of yummy colorful mandala exercises for my Mixed Media Mandalas class this week! Class starts on Monday and I have to say, I think this is my most favourite mandala yet!
I am so in love with these beautiful warm sunny colors, that I decided to name this piece “Sunset” because I feel as though I am sitting on the beach, looking at the sun setting basking in all this color.
Here are images I captured as I am working through at the moment.
This is the background
I then started to draw out a mandala shape from the center, like the sun
Adding in more details with paint and stamps.
I also mentioned in this post that I had been collecting hibiscus buds to dry out, and now I have some, I decided to add to this painting. I just love how they look around the central sun mandala.
I cannot wait to show you the finished painting and share lots of these beautiful layering processes to create your own mandala in my new Mixed Media Mandalas class. Starts on Monday 7th April, are you registered yet?

Would you like to explore the sacred circle and mixed media mandalas further? I would love for you to join me to dive deeply in the 4 week “Mixed Media Mandalas” online class.
By the end of class, you will have a journal full of sacred circles and at least one finished mixed media piece of artwork to hang on your wall.
GORGEOUS!! I really love the colors you are using here and that background is to die for!
Love how vibrant and happy that is Louise!
