The color that touched me last weekend was the deep orange of the peaches I was cooking as I was making fresh peach jam! Oh it’s delicious!

Yummy! Did you see this post I published a week or so ago? All about peaches. It makes my mouth water everytime i look at it! https://louisegale.com/2011/07/color-story-4-eat-more-peaches/
Would love to taste some of your home-made jam – YUMMO!
xx
Come on over! I am baking scones right now to put the jam on! (Where do you live? It would be so fun to get together! I’m in CA. I’ll check out the book for sure.) jane
Oh I wish! Next time I’m in CA, ill let you know. I’m on the east coast, but can almost smell those fresh of scones and peach jam….. yummy.
My current color inspiration is chartreuse – that yellow green color that’s just so fresh and vibrant! I got inspired when I recently stayed in this hotel and my room had this chartreuse-black-orange theme.
Johwey, I am sure that is the color I just used for my mattes for my recent art exhibit. Lovely.
Bright yellow! My sister bought some pillows for her room that were the perfect shade of yellow. 🙂
Gorgeous! Yellow is such a bright and vibrant color to have in the house. Lifts those happy spirits high.
As I am currently painting my home I am obsessed with bamboo like shades and all things green ^^
Mine has been Red. It’s my favourite colour but I’ve been especially inspired by challenges set by the Creative Every Day blog (this months theme is Red) and to also get back to painting on canvas (Journal Girl). So I dug out some miniature canvasses (only 3″x4″) and painted some very traditional country garden still life’s inspired by red flowers found in my favourite gardening book ‘Planting for Colour’. I am SO pleased with the outcome. I don’t paint traditionally normally, I’m into abstract mainly, but I even underpainted the things which is amazing for me. Plus I’ve created two visions of my perfect garden which I can take with me when we move house. So not only have i been inspired I keep being inspired by what I’ve created.
Lianne, I would LOVE to see your garden or your garden plans using your colour book and also your 3×4 canvasses, how fabulous! Please send me photos or a link to where they are posted. Thank you! Louise xx
Orange-yellow and blue – inspired by a trip up the Oregon and Washington coast. I used these colors for a mixed media piece in my art journal – a lovely way to remember a wonderful trip.
Carola, that is a fabulous way to record the trip in your artwork. Wonderful, would love to see your piece too. 🙂 xx
Pink ! Because I love this color and I found it on the label of a bottle of French “rosé” wine called “La Vie en R…” like the song “La Vie en Rose” but it was meaning “la vie en rosé”…
Roses in the garden are flowering for the second time, and they are pink too (but kind of soft pink…).
Hope my poor English is understandable… Sorry, I’m French !
I woke this morning to find hundreds of different shades of green on my lawn as the early morning sun poked through the trees. It took my breath away.
Wow that sounds amazing Emkay. I love how the morning light does that. beautiful. xx
The color that touched me was a speckled brown…the kind that is found on a toasted sandwich. Yum it transforms any sandwich into something warm and special!
The colour that is inspiring me at the moment is Orange. I recently saw a bright orange chair. It was stunning. 😀
navy blue and bright red, a pair of pants I sewed for my daughter.
