This is absolutely one special trip as I have been dreaming about Morocco for many years and I can see the mountains from my balcony in Spain. I had Morocco on my Vision Board this year! How amazing is that? (can you see it below? – middle left).
The best and most amazing part of this is…..
That wonderful Beth and Paul at Do What You Love are sponsoring me to go on this adventure. YES! How amazing is that!
When I mentioned how wonderful this art retreat looked in Morocco, they surprise gifted it to me as a big thank you for all the work I had been doing for them. How wonderful is that? Thank you so much Beth and Paul.
I am so excited to be staying at the wonderful Peacock Pavilions. What a beautiful venue it is. Check out some of the images below.
I am a big fan of Amy Butler and loved working on issue 3 of MOYO Magazine where we interviewed lovely Amy and showcased her beautiful fabrics. I write the Colour Stories feature for the magazine and am excited to be in my element in Morocco absolutely soaking up all the colour and pattern there. (look out for a feature of my trip in a future issue!). We have issue 7 coming out later in November too!
The itinerary is packed with day trips and adventures into the culture and beauty of the local area aswell as lovely workshops from both Amy and April.
Amy will be hosting her new Colour Workshop at the retreat and also guiding us through making some beautiful talisman necklaces using Fiber Jewelry techniques. April will be hosting a bookmaking/travel journal session so I am excited to be capturing the essence of this adventure as I did in Bali.
So, I cant wait to share all the adventures, photos and artwork from this amazing retreat on the blog when I return. If I have internet access, I will post as many piccies as possible on instagram and my facebook page too as it all unfolds. 🙂
