Less than a week until Christmas celebrations and 4 weeks until I leave the USA for new adventures! In this time of reflection I have been delving into Christmas past….

I have loved having my tree up with me in my studio as I work away and de-clutter, thinking about what I am giving away and what I am going to pack to take with me.

Decorating the tree has always been one of my favorite things to do during this time of year and even more so when I remembered all the hand-made ornaments I had in my box which are now happily hanging on the tree.

A few years ago I hosted and participated in a hand-made ornament swap and every Christmas I now remember the gorgeous creative souls who hand-made something precious for me to hang up. These are certainly coming to Spain with me to remember and enjoy next year and years to come.

Beautiful hand-made paper tree from Dana Barbieri

“JOY” from Jenny Wentworth

From a lovely artist – Sam Jowers who also wrote to say it made her smile to write my name as her grandmother was called Louise

Artist “unknown”. I love the feel of this and how it looks on the tree.

“There’s no place like home” from Regina Lord of Creative Kismet.

Being a lover of swirls, I am so upset I don’t know who sent this to me. 🙁

Lovely face from Danielle Daniel

My own made from glass, heart nugget and ribbon

And I LOVE this hand-made stitched card I received from lovely Beth Nicholls 2 years ago!

Wishing you all a wonderful festive season with your families, friends and loved ones.

We are off to a Christmas concert tomorrow night with local musicians and bands in aid of re-building Hoboken after the storm. Might have to get the mulled wine brewing!
