Color combo’s in Hobart. {Photo taken in Tasmania}
This month I wanted to mix it up a bit by not only giving us a color, but also a theme.
The rose is the flower of June – did you know that? So I thought lets dig deep into some red and also add this theme of roses to the mix. The above photo was taken on my travels in Tasmania, on a sunny day I took a stroll around the back streets of the town and couldn’t help but photograph this bold color combination with the subtle romantic looking roses.
Here is the color palette from the image above to give you an idea, but lets go for it with some deep and bright reds.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Create something using the color red with a combination of any of the additional shown above. (you can also include white or black in your creation)
- The colors don’t need to be 100% exact – the codes/numbers are listed for guidance and if you decide to create using a computer, you can grab these codes.
- THIS MONTH: Include the theme of “ROSES” into your work. These can be a poem, words in the art or the image of a rose.
- Share it in the flickr group here
- Pop back here on the 28th where I will share mine. I will then invite you all to post a link to your work or blog post about it all and visit everyone who participated. Read more about the challenge and to sign up here
Some Prompts:
Here are some prompts to help you uncover these colors some more. Feel free to incorporate words or images from these into your work or comment in the comments below.
- How do these colors make you feel?
- What does red remind you of?
- What are some of the things that come to mind when you see these colors together?
ENJOY! I cant wait to see what you all create!
