So excited that my “Sew Hoboken” art exhibit is almost here!
It’s been a year in the making since I inquired about submitting work to the museum for a show. I feel so honored to be showing and showcasing my work all about Hoboken at this lovely lovely venue.
There are so many hidden features to be found in Hoboken – old shop signs, facades of buildings and little details not many notice in their daily life rushing around town.
“Sew Hoboken” is a mixed media exhibit, mostly featuring digital prints with an element of sewing and fabric included. Showing the real essence of Hoboken with some surrealism thrown in through the fabric designs and sewing additions.
I loved combining the historical traditional images with something colorful and surreal.
“Sew” excited for the opening reception this Sunday. If you are local to the area, I would love to see you.
How exciting, Louise! These look fantastic!!
