Hi everyone, I am so excited to showcase just a handful of the gorgeous work that came out of the Mixed Media Mandala class I taught earlier in the year.
This showcase is in 3 parts and here is part 1. This journey is a beautiful progression from mandala doodles and loosening up to exploring collage/other materials and then onto the Mixed Media Mandala Masterpiece where students create a final piece of artwork to hang on their wall.

Here are some of the mandala doodles and drawings from week 1. Each student used their sketchbooks to explore the mandala form from many aspects in this week from structured to intuitive mandalas, doodles, sacred geometry, macro and lots more.
“Thank you so much again for the awesome course, I felt liberated and inspired” – Natalie Stokell
Natalie really excelled in the sacred geometry mandala lessons.

Katie, who works alot with journaling mandalas, loved playing with paint and pens.

I loved how Natasha changes the perspective and focal point of her mandalas.

“It has made me see mandala designs all around me. I now carry my camera everywhere to capture pictures of the ones I can use to develop.” – Barbara Crompton

Michelle created a mandala drawing based on our macro/microscope lesson.
Wini from Art, Love & Joy who was already a talented mandala artist, explored the loosening up exercises in her sketchbook and then created a more structured mandala below.
