YAY! I carved out a little time today to get started on my canvas for Visual Quest. I literally just went for it using ripped paper, plaster gauze, cut outs, glue (to create an embossed look). So here are just a few work in progress shots. Who knows where this is going to go!

Materials used – dictionary page (with the word ‘bear’ on as this is my totem animal that has appeared to me so far through this process, glue, hand-made paper, crayons, doilies and magazine cutout.

I love all the textures and embossing starting to emerge which will essentially be a background!

I hope to add some more this week, so watch this space!
I am really enjoying the visual quest class and cant wait to catch up on the next week of videos and journeys.
Hi, I'm Louise and thank you so much for visiting me here. I am a mixed media artist, who is passionate about combining the healing energy of nature and color with the meditative process of mandala making

I really enjoyed this post, to get to see the process and how you start out when doing a new painting! Looking forward to see the rest of the process/the work you do on it 🙂
Thanks so much Eva, I used to blog about the early stages, then found I’d get so excited about the work and forget to take photos! I really enjoy taking a step back and seeing how it all emerges so look forward to seeing this myself! Happy weekend to you. 🙂
Love all of the materials you’ve added so far. I can’t wait to see where this goes!
