Pantone have announced that “Tangerine Tango” is the color for 2012 with this fabulous strapline of ” Dance into the New Year with this vivacious and appealing reddish orange”
Isn’t it vibrant and GORGEOUS!
On their announcement they say – “Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.”
I’m starting to think “recharge & energize” might be my theme for 2012!
We just finished the Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design e-course and I CANNOT wait to have a play with this color in 2012.
Orange is not usually a color I create in, but this year I did explore this color a little more with two paintings as part of my botanical’s exhibition
“Sunshine & Bloom” – acrylic and wax on canvas
“Sunny Afternoon” – acrylic, collage and wax on canvas
I was also commissioned to use “Sunshine & Bloom” to create some gorgeous Wedding save the dates for a wedding in 2012.
“Save the Dates” printed and hand-cut on velvet fine art paper.
I also explored this color more for the Creative Energy Color Cleanse course with the sacral chakra artwork below using the create prompts, exercises and meditations to really connect with this color.
“I feel” – Created as part of the Creative Energy Color Cleanse Course.
This color certainly makes me feel energized and warm. It can also help us connect with our emotions. (more of this is covered in the Creative Energy Color Cleanse class or you can download the individual Sacral Chakra/Orange kit to immerse yourself in this energetic color for 2012.
