Welcome to WEEK #1 of The Creative Color Challenge.
So this week, emerge yourself in this color , soak it up. Smile out loud, know that you are enough, look after yourself, be confident in who you are and optimistic that everything is going in the right direction and that whatever you create will be energizing and beautiful.
I’m going to be using Amsterdam Acrylic Color – Cadmium Yellow 271 (from the expert series)
So excited to see the sunshine together. Please add your images to “The Creative Color Challenge” Flickr group by Sat 8pm EST (ill be sharing some of the sunshine on my wrap up post next Sunday) and please add keywords “yellow” and “Creative Color Challenge” when you upload to flickr.
It’s not too late to participate! The Creative Color Challenge is open all month, so email louise[at]britcreative[dot]com to join in and get your name and link added to the participant list.
Now that is a challenge! Excellent choice, you're bending my brain already.
Nutty
(Ooooh!)
I was just thinking of yellow yesterday. Having been out and about spotting colour in my neighbourhood. Yellow was jumping out at me yesterday. Yellow then.
I'd like to be lying in that field 🙂
Yellow! I'm quite excited about this challenge, hoping to use and experiment with some new mixed media techniques that I am learning with Claudine Hellmuth. I'm anxious to get messy! Looking forward to seeing everyone's art
Yellow…. Great start to a fun challenge.
Those yellows look soooooo super yummy! Thanks for sharing your post today!
LOVE yellow. We just painted a wall of yellow in our LR.
I love yellow as an accent color, so I'm looking forward to using it as the star this time! That's why I signed up for this wonderful challenge…to challenge myself with colors that would normally scare the hell out of me!!
i love sunflowers too =-)
i had a feeling that yellow might be a color challenge – glad i picked up some yellow paint chips for inspiration today BEFORE seeing this color challenge 😉
The wheels are a turning. Great color for the first week of august.
Super Duper! I have some sunflowers on my studio right now. Perfect color to start the challenge 🙂

I adore the color yellow and such fun way to feature it!!! Really excellent! So excited about your color challenge. It's really inspiring! Have a lovely merry happy week and love to you!
ohhh yellow is so gorgeous and so about sunshine! this is so exciting Louise! I just wanted to pop over and say hi and sorry it's been a while since i've been in touch – and I can't thank you enough for your kind words of support over my way!! truly lovely of you. looking foward to some breathing room now and catching up and visiting some of my favourite creative blogs more regularly again, great to catch up on what you've been up to! so awesome 🙂
Thanks for your amazing words about the house. I am going to use that quote! The challenge is very cool, and I am going to see it through even if I get a bit behind on the way! Yellow is not a big colour in my life so I am having to open my eyes and seek it out – amazing what is there when you look!
This will be challenge for me!!!
Oh boy, what a challenge! I didn't know you were going to limit our colors! LOVE sunflowers though… Yikes… OK i'll try… LOL! xoxo Val
Sounds good, that challenge – will have a look!
I am embracing your Creative Color Challenge ~ a stretch for me as I am definitely a "neutral" girl ~ I prefer black, white, cream & sepia. I have already posted one of my creations for this week's challenge on our flickr group. Thanks so much for the inspiration to go outside of my "comfort zone". Emily.
coincidentally, even before reading your post i had written a song called "honeybee"- it's not a picture tho!
finally got my piece done! Will upload to Flickr 🙂
