As promised in my last newsletter, here is a special invite to the upcoming online Art Medicine Festival which will be running September 8th-12th!

I’ve been part of quite a few of these FREE online events this year which are wonderful to be invited to, but this is the last one for a while.

What I LOVE about being invited to these collaborations, is that it really helps me think about what aspects of my creative life I LOVE to share and what practices I want to continue to invite into my studio. AND… now, I am back to my Art Studio, my creative energy is lifting again… I can feel it… and it feels so good!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year also…the summer is coming to an end and I can feel the shift of seasons starting. My morning beach walks are quieter, more contemplative and an important part of my morning ritual.

The last few months have all been about color as I have been recording new videos for my Chakra Color Class (more videos continue to be added) and its been so wonderful to soak up all of the color energy… BUT, I have missed my practice of botanical drawing, painting and color swatching.

SO! You will be seeing more botanicals and I plan on diving right back in for #Inktober where I will be sharing a brand new list of Botanical Prompts for 2022. So you can join in if you wish! More info on this coming mid-September!

Join me for the Art Medicine Festival!

During this FREE 5 day online transformational festival over 30 artists, healers and visionaries will co-create a meeting place where healing, transformation and creativity come to play.

I will be sharing my beautiful practice of gathering, observing and capturing nature’s beauty through line drawing, capturing colors and pulling everything together into a journal page.

When Alexis invited me to take part in the festival, I talked about my ongoing love affair with observing nature’s beauty and then recording the lines, shapes and colors as part of a devotional practice that then leads me to create Botanical Mandala designs. We thought this would be a beautiful session to include in the festival, so this is what I am presenting.

What I love, is that you can gather SO MUCH INSPIRATION from ONE single flower and this can then be used for inspiration for more art making and of course….botanical mandala artwork.

If you have been connecting with me for a few years, you may recall my 100 days of Botanical Motifs project which led me to create an inspiration deck for my Botanical Mandala work and then on to write my books and create my Botanical Mandalas Masterclass Series.

I strongly believe in the healing energy of nature and I am feeling a calling to return to this work, so this online festival (and my upcoming #inktober project) is a perfect way to connect back to this beautiful practice.
