Inspiration: My landlady is looking to get a new front door

Color: Green

Story: I have been soaking myself in color and energy and it’s showing up more and more in my life through my coaching training, art, discussions with friends and other workshops and people I have recently come into contact with.

When my landlady said she is looking to get a new front door, I couldn’t help, but find out what that could mean in energy terms. Feng Shui (also called the Chinese art of placement) uses the compass and placement of objects and certain colors to attract balance and energy into our lives. After some research, I found that front doors need to be painted with the corresponding color based on the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, water. The front door to our main building faces east, so this is connected to wood which, yes you guessed it, is “green”, being the right vibrational color to attract the right energy and allow it to flow in and throughout our home.

The door to my old apartment (where I used to sit on the step of contemplation) was green. I could always feel that energy when on that step.

What color is your front door? Can you feel balance and how much energy is flowing in your own home? Below are the colors, elements & directions. (taken from http://fengshuiweb.co.uk/advice/doors.htm)

  • South (Fire) = Reds, pink, burgundy.
  • Southwest (Earth) = Yellows or browns.
  • West (Metal) = White, silver, copper or gold.
  • Northwest (Metal) = White, silver, copper or gold.
  • North (Water) = Blacks or blues.
  • Northeast (Earth) = Yellows or browns.
  • East (Wood) = Greens.
  • Southeast (Wood) = Greens.

I am currently in Boston soaking up lots of energy myself at my Energy Leadership Workshop. Cant wait to share some of the outcomes. :-)
